Warsaw, 24th September 2009: The Forbes magazine gave Accreo Taxand the first place in its ranking of advisory and consulting companies which help other companies obtain EU subsidies.
Three years after Accreo's establishment, Forbes magazine assessed it to be the best Polish company providing advisory services in obtaining EU subsidies.
According to Michał Gwizda, a partner of European Advisory Services Team within Accreo Taxand: "It must have been the experience of the Accreo Taxand team which made it possible for the company to become the leader among companies providing advisory services. Throughout the last three years, interest in EU subsidies has been continually increasing; also, new issues started emerging, connected, for example, with financial settlements pertaining to subsidies already obtained. Companies on our market are now more aware of various forms of public aid available but the issue of the quality of the project they prepare remains important. At present, only projects which are very well-prepared have any chances of obtaining subsidies - this is precisely why analysing the project in terms of its chances of being successful is so important. The obstacles most difficult to overcome are still the criteria regarding the assessment of the projects - they are unclear and they lack objectivity. Because of this, it is often impossible for companies to make sure whether or not a given investment has any chances of being granted a subsidy.
An important thing to add here is that Accreo Taxand, during the three years of its business activity, has obtained public aid for companies amounting to PLN 1.2 billion. In the year 2008 we helped our clients to obtain PLN 353.8 million and the amount obtained in 2009 is PLN 428.2 million. We participated in obtaining two of the largest subsidies in history - PLN 110 and 150 million."
