Accreo Taxand has received the prestigious prize Poland Transfer Pricing Firm of the Year, awarded by the international publication International Tax Review. The firm was recognized for its innovation, comprehensive transfer pricing service and its international character.

Transfer pricing has in recent years become a very significant issue both from the tax point of view and in terms of business objectives. According to Artur Klęsk - Head of Transfer Pricing at Accreo Taxand „transfer prices should be seen not only from the perspective of risk management, but also as a powerful tool for planning an effective capital group tax base. It allows the improvement of the effectiveness of business operations and as a result, the improvement of market competitiveness".

The announcement and award presentation were held on 18th May 2010 at the European Tax Awards Gala in London. The award was received by Artur Klęsk, who directs transfer tax operations at Accreo Taxand.

Artur Klęsk is an economist and one of the most experienced transfer pricing experts in Poland. Prior to joining Accreo Taxand, Artur worked for more than nine years at several Big 4 firms, where he specialized in transfer pricing issues. His expertise covers both domestic and international transfer pricing engagements, including tax-effective inter-company transaction planning. Artur has experience in effective design and implementation of transfer pricing policies, including conversion processes using limited risk structures, transfer pricing risk valuation and management, as well as transfer pricing defense during tax audits and administrative proceedings. Artur has also supervised the preparation of several applications and negotiated the first advanced pricing agreement (APA) concluded in Poland in 2006. Artur has led the transfer pricing practice at Accreo Taxand since 2007.
